למה אני צופה בתוכנית הטלוויזיה הזאת? התוכנית הזאת טיפשית.

Why am I watching this show?  This program is stupid.

  1. For once, I’m going to ask the question first. 🙂 Should it be ‘זו’, ‘זאת’ or ‘הזאת’? My instinct is the third (הזאת), but Google Translate says otherwise….

    אפשר להגיד שצדקתָ!

    1. זו = זאת (‘זאת’ קצת יותר נפוצה בדיבור).
    2. אפשר לומר או ‘התוכנית הזאת’ או ‘תוכנית זאת’, האפשרות השנייה מתאימה יותר לשפה עיתונאית/ספרותית.

      My big problem is that when I learned to speak originally, waaaaaay back when, it was in the context of learning to daven (as I’d mentioned a few days ago). 😉 Never learned the more colloquial ways of saying things, so when I did actually go to double-check, it confused me enough to ask. 🙂 I’ll have to remember that…
