#Add1Challenge – The first two days

September 30, 2013

Alright, now that you all know just what I look and sound like…

Today was the second day of the #Add1Challenge for me, and bluntly, it was a bit easier with work than without it.

I did make the mistake of getting up early by about 15 minutes… and I won’t be making that mistake again, I don’t think, but rather will simply do some streamlining to my morning hours to ensure I’m still able to get out the door at the same time as my son, so I have that first half hour at work without anyone to bother me while I work on my Hebrew.  (French is being saved for the evenings, because I’m still self-conscious about doing the Assimil at the office.)

I’m almost caught up again on my vocabulary at Memrise with regards to the Hebrew – it’ll probably take me a few days to get my vocabulary recommitted so I can move forward with new vocabulary.  I’ve also started looking for a grammar book so I can firm up my verb conjugations.

In French, I’ve gotten two lessons done on DuoLingo, and went through a lesson in Assimil.  My pronunciation sucks, but that’s life and it’ll improve, the same as my Spanish pronunciation did.  My only real frustration with Assimil is the fact that the “exercises” seem to use vocabulary I haven’t learned.. and I’m wondering if I need to re-read the instructions again for the Phase One part.

But it’s progress.
